Editing services


1. The Site administration undertakes to provide the Copyright Holder with services for editing the text of the Copyright Holder's work (hereinafter referred to as the "text"), and the Copyright Holder undertakes to accept and pay for the services provided in accordance with the conditions specified in these terms.

2. The Site Administration has the right to provide services both personally and with the involvement of third parties, while the Site Administration is responsible for actions performed by third parties, as for its own.

3. Text editing is carried out by the method of double reading of the text, i.e. it includes two readings of the text and is bringing the content and form of the text in accordance with the generally accepted requirements and rules.

4. Based on the results of the first reading, editorial changes are made, which are sent for approval to the Copyright Holder. The time of approval of edits by the Copyright Holder is not included in the total service delivery time.

5. Based on the results of the second reading, final edits are made, which are sent for approval to the Copyright Holder. The time of approval of edits by the Copyright Holder is not included in the total service delivery time.

6. Text editing includes literary editing, such as correcting lexical and stylistic errors, rearranging sentences if necessary, removing repetitions, eliminating ambiguities, and other edits required to bring the text into line with the literary norms of the language.

7. Under the 40,000 typographical units, the parties understand 40,000 printed characters, including punctuation marks, numbers and spaces between words and before the fields.

8. The results of editing are displayed as edits and comments to the text and require the Copyright Holder's approval to make them.

9. The results of editing in the form of corrections and comments to the text are purely advisory in nature, the decision on making changes to the text proposed by the Site Administration is made by the Copyright Holder independently.

10. The Copyright Holder is obliged to accept the editorial results proposed by the Site Administration within 5 (Five) calendar days after receiving the editorial results or provide the Site Administration with reasoned objections to the proposed editorial results. If after 5 (five) calendar days after the Copyright Holder receives the editing results, the Site Administration does not receive from the Copyright Holder acceptance of the editing or a reasonable refusal to accept the editing, the editing results are considered accepted by the Copyright Holder without comments and in full.

11. The term of rendering the text editing service is calculated based on the volume of text to be edited, and is agreed in correspondence.

12. The cost of editing services provided by the Site Administration is publicly available on the Site and depends on the genre of the work submitted by the Copyright Holder.

12.1. The genre of "Fiction" includes novels, short stories, and novellas.

12.2. The genre of "unartistic" includes business books, journalism, historical literature, religious literature, non-fiction biographies, corporate literature.

12.3. "Special literature" includes technical and medical literature.

12.4. The choice of genre of the work is made by the Copyright Holder using the Site interface or is agreed by the Parties in correspondence. The site administration has the right to refuse to provide the service or increase the cost, if the work submitted by the Copyright Holder does not correspond to the selected genre. At the same time, the minimum cost of editing services is equal to the cost of 40,000 typographical units, depending on the choice of genre.

13. For the purposes of calculating the cost of the service, the minimum number of typographical units is determined as 10,000 typographical units, and when calculating the cost of the order, the number of typographical units is rounded up. The copyright holder is obliged to transfer 100% of the cost of services in the form of prepayment to the bank account details of the Site Administration.

14. For an additional fee, the Copyright holder has the right to order the service of an editorial review of the book. An editorial review is understood as an analysis and evaluation of a book in order to determine the expediency of its release, to identify its advantages and disadvantages in order to improve the book by the author. The editorial review service can be ordered as an independent service.

15. As a result of providing the editorial review service, the Copyright Holder receives recommendations on how to finalize the book in writing through the site's functionality.

16. The editorial review service is considered accepted when the results are sent to the Copyright Holder.

17. The deadline for providing the editorial review service is calculated based on the volume of text subject to editorial review, and is agreed in correspondence.

18. The Site Administration starts providing services only after 100% of the cost of the services provided is credited to the bank account. The date of crediting funds to the current account of the Site Administration is recognized by the Parties as the moment of expressing the will of the Copyright Holder to provide the service under these rules.

19. The Site Administration has the right to refuse to perform services at any time, provided that the Copyright Holder returns 100% of the prepayment received from him for the provision of services, minus the commission of the intermediary bank for the provision of banking services for the transfer of funds, if there is a technical impossibility to fulfill the obligations assumed.
